The Varta CR2 is a compact 3-volt lithium battery utilized primarily in late-era ultra-compact point-and-shoot cameras. Slightly shorter than the standard CR123A, it provides the rapid electrical draw necessary to power motorized zooms and automated flash photography without increasing the camera's physical footprint.
